Throughout the program, participants came together in a supportive creative space to explore a range of artistic media. Through guided creative processes facilitated across six weeks, participants were invited to explore agency, identity and self-expression, developing works that reflect experiences and meanings uniquely their own.

This exhibition celebrates not only the works created, but the creative processes behind them. Throughout the evening, visitors will be invited to engage with some of the reflective practices that informed the program, including guided reflection and creative prompts, offering an opportunity to pause, create and connect with their own stories.

With opening-night speeches, community catering and accessible installations, the event will bring together artists, allies and community members to honour the creativity and strength of LGBTIQASB+ people who have experienced family violence.

More than displaying finished artworks, Works in Progress creates space for visibility, connection and dialogue, recognising art as one of many ways people may express, explore and reclaim parts of their stories and identities.
