Our Approach
Testing shouldn't be a barrier in itself. For international students, people without Medicare, or anyone who'd rather skip the waiting room, Connect removes the friction between wanting to know your status and actually finding out.
How it works
The process takes a few minutes online, and you can collect your kit whenever suits you.
- Register online. Answer a few questions and provide a mobile phone number. We'll send you a code via SMS.
- Go to a Connect vending machine. Choose any machine location that's convenient for you.
- Collect your kit. Scan the QR code on the machine or enter the code from your SMS. Your test kit will be dispensed.
That's it. No appointments, no paperwork, and no need to speak to anyone face-to-face.
Connect is for everyone, but it's especially designed for people who face barriers to regular sexual health testing. This includes:
- International students and people without Medicare
- People who can't easily access a doctor or sexual health clinic
- Anyone who prefers the privacy and convenience of self-testing
You don't need to be a student, a patient, or a client of any service to use Connect. If you want to test for HIV, you can.
The test kit is free. There are no costs involved.
